I sincerely hate moving. I don't care that we hired movers, moving into this new house and trying to furnish it and combine two households is maddening. Lucius has been an absolute angel during all of this. It's certainly not the most enjoyable way to spend my spring break, but once everything is done, it will be amazing to be settled into our new home.

I think I found THE house. I feel like we looked at thirty houses this weekend, but I finally found one I loved in Leawood. It's perfect, absolutely perfect, and reminds me so much of home, the way that the land is gardened reminds me of my family's estate. I hope that the offer we made is fair and they take it.
I think it will be the perfect place for a family.

I am meeting with my estate agent after work. I am thinking I will keep my house as an investment until the market stabilizes, but Luc and I need a bigger house. Hopefully we can find something we both like, since we are quite picky.

You can ask me any question and I have to answer it truthfully, but in turn I get to ask you one right back. Some answers can be privatized, but that choice is up to you. But seriously. Ask me anything. I am an open book pretty much, but some might not like the answers.

I am sincerely enjoying teaching. It is nice to be able to explain the nuances of small events that ended up making radical changes not only to England, but the entire world. My students have treated me a bit strange, but overall I think that I have been very lucky to get such a good teaching position.
Luc, sweetheart? Don't make plans for next weekend. I have a surprise for you.

I must admit this place is nothing like I expected, but I am finding I do not mind. While there are certain parts of home I do miss, I think there are things here that more than make up for it. I seem to have found the most delightful company, far more intelligent than previous suitors. I am quite pleased not to have to play the political games from home, but instead be able to live my life on my own terms.
I painted my office today, a lovely pale blue, the same color as the summer sky at my family's home in England. I have all of my books in order and my classes planned. I am sincerely looking forward to teaching British History. And because there was an overflow, I am also teaching a section of Feminism and Religious History.

Unpacking in my new home is very strange. I am so used to having people to attend to me, and cook. I suppose I could use some household help. Henry tried to send ladies with me, but I didn't wish to bring young, naive girls to such a foreign land.
I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Professor Anne Boleyn. I am the first Marchioness of Pembrooke, so I may either be addressed as Lady Pembrooke or Professor Boleyn.
